Samantha Power, the Memory of the Babi Yar Massacre of 1941 near Kiev (almost 34,000 Ukrainian Jews, including children with their mothers) killed, and the Glorification of the UPA Executioners by the Poroshenko Regime Which Made the Founding of the Fascist, Genocidal UPA into Ukraine's State Holiday of the Country's "Defender"

Ukraine celebrates today (October 14) its state holiday "The Day of Ukraine's Defender"--the day when some Ukrainians founded the UPA, the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, the ally and local death squads of Hitler and perpetrators of massacres, including the one in Babi Yar, to which, coincidentally, Samantha Power representing the US at the UN consecrated her speech just yesterday (October 13 at the UN) as part of her campaign to support the very same regime that celebrates today the fascist UPA as the very model of and role model for a new Ukrainian soldier and the new anti-Russian Ukrainians.

The Babi Yar massacre of 1941,carried out with the UPA/UNA help. Today's Ukraine glorifies UPA/UNA. The UPA has now a state holiday thanks to the regime she and the Obama administration supports.

Samantha Power in Kiev, June 2015: Ukraine is uber alles!

Meet Stepan Bandera, the "hero" in chief of today's Ukraine. 7 million Ukrainians were by the Nazis in World War II, over 5 million were civilians.

You can see the Right Sector's slogan "Ukraine above all," which Samantha Power cried out too:

The framers of the Minsk Agreements (which was the West by the way with some help of Moscow) could not resist from inserting there a little Machiavellian mischief--something like a signature that betrays (however darkly) the character as well as the intent. Recently, on June 11, Samantha Power dared to do the same when out of loud declared to the cheers of her Ukrainian hosts that Maidan and the Kiev regime was and is actually about "Ukraine uber alles." Russian diplomats were busy meeting with their Bandera "partners" to notice, and if Moscow received the news, then it just plugged its ears and passed yet another prompt to Pushilin who has just declared the surrender of Shirokino as "a very positive experience" for him.

Minsk Protocol of September 7 introduced the notion that what is to be left of [Novorossiya] [taken as such out of equation] or the DPR and the LPR under the junta's sovereignty would be only "certain regions" with some seemingly undefined, later-to-be-filled cipher called "SPECIAL status": "Article 9: Ensure early local elections in accordance with the Law of Ukraine “Concerning the
temporary status of local self-government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions” (Law on Special Status)." Did anyone notice that the status of the otherwise undefined certain regions is to be 1) SPECIAL and 2) strictly TEMPORARY? http://en.voicesevas.ru/news/yugo-vostok/2891-ceasefire-in-ukraine-minsk-protocol-full-text.html

The Minsk Agreement of February 12, 2014, which Putin helped to craft over the night, while Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky were not allowed to wait even an antechamber of the same building (where at least Czechoslovak Ambassador was kept by obviously much more polite heads of the British and French states together with Hitler during the Munich Diktat in 1938), repeats and multiplies the references to the "special" status of those certain regions (certainly no Novorossiya, certainly no DPR or LPR either) under the sovereign whip and guns of Ukraine's anti-Russian, Bandera regime:

4. On the first day following the withdrawal, to start the dialogue on the modalities of holding local elections in accordance with Ukrainian legislation and Ukraine's law "On the special procedure of local self-governance in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions" as well as on a future regime of these districts on the basis of this law.

Immediately, no later than in 30 days since the date of the signing of the given document, to adopt a Verkhovna Rada [Ukrainian parliament] resolution to specify the territory to which the special regime applies in accordance with the law of Ukraine "On the special procedure of local self-governance in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions" on the basis of the line set by the Minsk memorandum of 19 September 2014.

11. Realization of constitutional reform in Ukraine, with the new constitution to enter into force by the end of 2015, and assuming as a key element the decentralization (taking into account the peculiarities of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as agreed with representatives of these districts), and the enactment of permanent legislation on the special status of certain districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions in accordance with the measures specified in the footnotes, until the end of 2015 (see footnotes)

So what about the strange word "special"? Does the West or Kiev really think that the DPR and the LPR are or ought to be as something/someone very "special" in a sense of being "exceptional," let say like the US? Obviously, this is hardly the case. Only the US can be special as "exceptional" according to what is part of its "civic religion." It has also been trademarked.

So is this "special status" meant as in "special education" for "children with special needs" who cannot keep up with the demands and pace of mental, social and kinetic development of most of their peers? The fact that Moscow is treated by the West and Kiev as having some form of the power of the attorney in its hands over the two "minors", the DPR and the LPR, might seem to support such a possibility. And, of course, the Nazis in Kiev would not mind looking down from their Ubermen's eyes on the heroic people of Donbass as some sort of "Untermechen," as Yatsenyuk did also in fact call them. Having this in the black and verified by Russia (Putin himself) and even co-signed by the title-less (on the document) Zakharchenko and Plotnitsky certainly feels like the old gesture of subservience with which lesser beings used to ask gods for their favors. Like in the same famous painting of Zeus and Thetis.

So, yes, after being tortured, raped, humiliated, crucified, and killed by the Nazis, then in exchange for their sovereignty over your head, you too would want to ask them to treat you as someone so "special," would not you? That's what, at the 70th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism, the Kremlin wants you to do!

Since no one has changed the standard definition of sovereignty as a monopoly on violence, you, feeling "special" and assured of being treated by the Banderas in a so special way, would trade your obligation to fulfill all you are asked to do unilaterally (as is becoming the practice and the expectation) for putting yourself as someone "temporarily special" under the permanently special death squads of the regime.

This brings us to yet another meaning of the strange word "special." Ask yourself: does the word ring any (other) bell? And especially within the context of the history of the place and Europe as such? Well, the word "special" for those who remember history and who don't want to see its worst repeated does carry and have a distinctly recognizable association.

Here it is. In World War II, during the Holocaust, the Nazis also made a special use of the word "special." And they also used it especially for their "victims" and in the form of a very "special" treatment indeed.

From Wikipedia: "Sonderkommandos were work units made up of German Nazi death camp prisoners. They were composed almost entirely of Jews who were forced, on threat of their own deaths, to aid with the disposal of gas chamber victims during the Holocaust.[1][2] The death-camp Sonderkommandos, who were always inmates, should not be confused with the SS-Sonderkommandos which were ad hoc units formed from various SS offices between 1938 and 1945. The term itself in German means "special unit", and was part of the vague and euphemistic language which the Nazis used to refer to aspects of the Final Solution."

And so, reducing the DPR and the LPR--the Russians of Donbass--to special regions under the Nazis and their sovereingty--and with the full blessing (and pressure) of the Kremlin itself--does evoke the dark spirit of Sonderkommandos. The masters might be psychopaths, but they are schooled. And I doubt that the word "special" just merely happened to be put into the text. Especially, when it is not that hard to see that the goal is not only Russia's destruction, but also utter demoralization, self-debasement and self-effacement.

In German, "special regions" translate, I believe, as Sonderbereichen.

If German is not enough, then the other model that looms behind this strange, creepy device would undoubtedly be the institution of reservations for Native Indians--basically concentration camps in the open.

According to the Ukraine Ambassador to Ukraine (junta's), the difference between Maidan and the protests in southeast Ukraine is that the Maidan protest (with the fascists in the front) was a "revolt of the nation against the bandit government" (duly elected), while the antifascist protests in Ukraine are actions of "bandits against the nation." Ukraine (the junta) and its Western sponsors (US, UK, France) insisted that the protests against the junta are small and not popular at all and that they are but actions of Russian agents. http://rt.com/news/security-council-ukraine-violence-312/

In April of 2014 at the UN Security Council, Samantha Power also successfully blocked the condemnation of the attack of al Nusra/al Qaeda from Turkey on the Armenian town of Kessab in Syria. She likes to call herself a humanitarian.
