Twelve Theses on the State of Russia 70 Years after the Defeat of Fascism in World War II

1.      Russia today is a colony. And it has been a colony since the late 1980s or since Gorbachev.

A colony for the first time since the time of the Mongol-Tatar Yoke and Enslavement. That’s also Sergey Lavrov, who played a great role in keeping Russia locked in this colonial fold since the 1980s, defined the main political meaning of the Mongol-Tatar destruction and colonization of Russia in his article “Russia’s Foreign Policy in Historical Perspective” as follows: “Let’s recall the policies pursued by the Grand Prince Aleksandr Nevskiy who temporarily subordinated himself to the Golden Orde, which was religiously tolerant, in order to protect the Russian people’s right to their own faith and to chart their own destiny in spite of European West’s efforts to fully subordinate Russian lands and deprive them of their own identity. I am convinced that such wise, long-term policies have left a mark on our genetic memory.” Lavrov calls here enslavement, subordination, and colonization “wise, long term policies” and “our genetic memory.” Such is, indeed, the code which the colonizers and their local comprador bourgeoisie with its new “diplomacy” tries to program and inscribe into the DNA of Russia and its peoples.
2.      What does it mean to be a colony? It means not being a sovereign, independent state. A colony is a formation the sovereign decisions over which are made by someone else. It is a nation under the rule of other nation(s) and other foreign powers.
3.      A colony cannot choose a path of its own development and it can’t have its own foreign policy or diplomacy in the proper sense of that word either.
4.      This also means that the colony’s elite and its local leadership do follow, must follow and are willing to follow orders from the outside and, by this token, politically, psychologically, and culturally, such “elites” and leadership do not belong to their people, but to their foreign patrons, handlers, and overseers.
5.      Russia became a colony as a result of the defeat of the Soviet Union in the Cold War. In the modern, prevalent sense, a colony (as opposed to ancient colonies of settlers from their mother countries or metropolises, as, for example, among the ancient Greeks) is by definition a defeated, subordinated state.
6.      Russia’s transformation into a present day’s colony, one of the key result and meanings of the Soviet defeat in the Cold War, was itself a result of the surrender of the Soviet Union (i.e. Russia) and all the Soviet-led “world socialist system” by the Soviet leadership and the regime’s elite guardians.
7.      This was thus yet another case of the proverbial turns where a people turns into a Medusa raft, cannibalizing and devouring their own or where guardian dogs turn into a pack of wolves predating on whom they were supposed to protect and shield, thus turning the principle and idea of communist solidarity (“one for all and all in it together”) into the few against all else with a tendency toward the ultimate Hobbesian “everyone against everyone.”
8.      Ever since the leadership and the elite that sold and betrayed everything and everyone they could tried to stabilize and perpetuate their rule by creating to themselves an image of false legitimacy by faking, lying, pretending, and deception, including a grandiose, Potemkin-village-like attempt at a new personality cult.

The main purpose of “perestroika” and the transition of the 1990s (the Yeltsin rule) was thus not only to destroy the country as a superpower, but also to turn the country into a colony through a corresponding systematic transformation—accordingly changing all the laws, all the institutions, the system of ruling and management and also the country’s culture. By the end of the 1990s, such systematic colonization nearly destroyed the country itself.

In its first phase, the Putin rule had the task to normalize Russia’s colonization—to make it appear normal, solid and stable chiefly by making control over the whole system more, better and more deeply established and by disguising the colonial nature of the system. With Nazification of Ukraine following the Maidan regime change in February of 2014, a new phase in consuming the soul and existence of Russia began.

9.      Is there any way out of this political and civilizational debasement and degradation that is undermining and threatens the very existence of Russia? Yes, there is. First, speaking the truth to power is not enough if people cannot or unwilling to speak the truth to themselves first. Second, no false regime can stand if its lies are no longer accepted as truth and as a legitimate tender. Third, in order to wean oneself from the lies, which enslave oneself and that destroy the nation, each needs to grow back a conscience, a character, and what can be called “the organ for truth”—a mind and soul of a free, dignified person who cares about others.
10.   Once this happens to a sufficient number of people, the awakening, the truth, becomes a word, the word becomes a new spirit, the word and the new spirit become a network reconnecting many people from place to place, and the word and the spirit connected with each other will become a network, a new practice, and a new community of the people working on their liberation and emancipation. For every deed and every liberation is good only as much as people do truly care about what they do and only as much as they care for others. To will toward the truth, freedom, and justice, one has to care about them and love them—honestly, truly, and vigorously—first. There is no other way. This is the only true way. Without this prerequisite, nothing else can be accomplished. Either Russia finds her way back to herself, back to a sense and practice of shared justice and truth or she will be crushed and crucified.
11.  Moreover, every love, every care, every commitment is then tested on its truthfulness, validity and vitality by life and life’s struggles. The late Soviet leadership miserably failed this test and, in failing, it failed the system and the country as well as the legacy and will of those who heroically fought and prevailed against fascism seventy years ago.

The late Soviet leadership, moreover, failed not so much because it was mentally weak, but because it first failed in its spirit, in its truthfulness, honesty and honor—thus mainly because its character and morality utterly collapsed.

The current colonial administrators of Russia differ mainly in that they no longer need to fake any commitment to or respect for any previous Soviet ideals and principles. While freeing themselves from the need to fake that, they still do and need to fake their commitment to the country and the people whom, in practice, treat as oligarchs treat their former free men turned into new serfs and slaves.

The truth is that Russian oligarchy is anti-national, and, for this new oligarchy and its bandit mindset, Russia as a great, sovereign, and independent nation is something which, with their stolen billions, they cannot afford and do not want to afford. And their patrons and handlers do let them do it anyway.

Russian oligarchy is leading Russia to a new fascism (with elements of new feudalism), disintegration and bloody civil wars. The only thing that can save Russia is the replace the will of the oligarchy and its masters by the voices of true patriots.
12.  "Что это за режим, который может рухнуть от слова?"

Всё зависит от того если найдётся храбрости и ума сказать народу и власти нужное, правдивое и праведное Слово--ясное, чёткое, сильное.

Без хотя относительного уважения к правде и осознания правды в головах властей страна становится больной и умриает. Без правды и истины в головах и сердцах народа народ становистя рабами.

Pepe Escobar Himself: Putin's Great Bargain with the US Paves the Way to Splitting Syria into Sunnistan (sic), Cosmopolistan (sic), and Kurdistan

Unbeknownst to other (or nearly all other) Putinists, Pepe Escobar correctly states the obvious: behind Putin's decision (let us call it that way in the spirit of generosity) is certainly a beforehand made "great bargain" between the US and Putin's crew. The same "great bargain" already gave us UN SB Resolution 2254 and other recent UN SB resolutions as well as the "ceasefire." And a much obvious part of the great bargain made behind the back of the Syrian government and the Syrian people is partitioning of Syria or what is euphemistically called "federalization," which Escobar claims to have just spotted and called first (not quite, but among the Putinists this might be well so).

The obvious and correct notion that for Putin to make the withdrawal move, a great bargain must exist first (Strelkov was saying this from the beginning and for months now, for example) also shoots down or tears down the PR bombastic claims of how much "surprised" the West was--a claim that was part of the first very spins on Putin's announcement.

Escobar's "Great Bargain" by Putin & the US calls for embracing Syria's "breakup light" by dividing Syria into three "stans" with exotic or rather perfectly neo-colonial names. Escobar's unveiling and promotion of the "great bargain" made by Putin with the US was meant to explain Putin's wisdom and intent behind his "suprising" pullout out of Syria and the preceding series of agreements that produced the joint Russian-US "peace plan" for Syria.

Escobar's piece was dutifully published and promoted by Moscow's PR outlet, Sputnik, and then happily, dutifully and much automatically reposted and hailed as great on "pro-Syrian" social media sites.

Pepe Escobar tells us that a new Cosmopolistan in the place of Syria we have hitherto known and loved would be part of the great bargain struck by Putin:

"The grand bargain is based on the current ceasefire (or "cessation of hostilities") holding, which is far from a given. Assuming all these positions hold, a federal Syria could emerge, what could be dubbed Break Up Light. Essentially, we would have three major provinces: a Sunnistan, a Kurdistan and a Cosmopolistan."
Escobar's typically musing piece  does contain one truthful sentence though: "The Russian long game is complex; not be strictly aligned either with Damascus ..." the rest is a fairy tale evoking magical thinking. One commentator called this one singular sentence "a truism lost in a bog of guesswork."

Transformation of Syria into "Cosmopolistan" is a way of showing how much friends of Putin are friends of Syria and how much they care for and respect the Syrians.

How many Syrians are ready to become "Cosmopolitanians" who would live next to their fellows from "Sunnistan" and "Kurdistan"? And how many Syrians are ready to fight and die for Syria as Sunnistan or Syria as Cosmopolistan?

1. The idea of Cosmopolitanism is one of the cherished Western liberal ideas and project. See, for example, Emmanuel Kant's 1795 essay "Perpetual Peace: A Philosophical Sketch" and "Idea for a Universal History from a Cosmopolitan Point of View" (1784).
2. As such, it was meant to be one of the liberal weapons against national resurrections and national liberation struggles.
3. The suffix -stan comes from Farsi and means "the state"--as in Afghanistan all the way to Kazakhstan. As a Persian political and historical concept, the word "stan" for Syria is much inappropriate.
4. Outside of the old historical Persian world, calling state or quasi-state formations "stan" is understood to be derogatory and contemptuous. As in Bantustan.
5. Otherwise the easy and happy way of sticking on people new political names and telling them how they should call or rename themselves has been a long established staple of Western colonial and imperial mindset, which the left, and the left-like liberals even more so, has always been ready to put on in the form of their clever heads.

While Cosmopolistan is for Escobar's word of choice for the pro-Assad Syrians, other possibilities for Escobar might have been Cosmotopia as a hybrid of Cosmos and Utopia or even "Cosmic Polity" to honor the fashion in which Putin renamed the Air Force last August when he decided that the Air Force ought to be known from then on as "the Airspace Force" or, more literally translated, as "the Air-Cosmic Force."

You might have noticed that Escobar's happy gospel of the breakup of Syria as part of Putin's great bargain or trade with Uncle Sam contained in its first form (see the screenshot above), his claim to have learned of this "off the record"--hence from Moscow's insider sources.

For this, there is, however, also a good amount of evidence from public sources, which the Putinists, however, hate to see reposted in the social media and thus keep removing the links or the references to them as much as they could (but Escobar's joyful bragging about the great bargain or sale is a different thing for he is certifiably on their side and one has to love what he says ...).

Thus, Putin and his other officials do demand a new Syrian constitution, which would include self-determination for the Kurds, and they also demand that "federalization" be part of the Geneva talks on Syria and Syria's constitutional reform:

Putin in January, 2016: Syria, get a new constitution! I read your constitution and I think a new one is needed and ASAP! The US thinks the same. I might have even got the idea from there! What the hell do I know?

Moscow outlines to Damascus what the new Syrian constitution should look like. Moscow: Syria should have a new constitution and the new constitution should include the right to self-determination for the Kurds:

Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told TASS: "The self-determination of Kurds should be outlined in the framework of new Syrian constitution." http://tass.ru/en/politics/863484

Moscow wants "federalization" to be part of the Geneva talks on the new Syrian government and part of the new Syrian constitution together with inclusion of the right to self-determination for the Kurds.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov: "The Kurds should have been involved in the talks from the very beginning, the issues [of federalization - TASS] should have been discussed with other participants in the talks who represent both the government and the opposition," he added. http://tass.ru/en/politics/863484

One of the main "achievements" of Putin's intervention in Syria has been Moscow's decision to relabel the CIA-run FSA, allies of al Qaeda (and formerly also of ISIS) as "the healthy" and "patriotic opposition."

Would the Kremlin, Putin, and the Putinists call ANY opposition to Putin as patriotic and healthy? It is a very good question, but also almost a stupid one, because the answer is clear: "Hell, no! Are you kidding me?"

Alright, and do you think that Putin, the Russian government, or any Putinist would call an opposition that would launch an armed uprising against Putin (not to mention with the help of the US, Saudi Arabia, Turkey etc.) and start killing other Russians (by now over 200,000 of them) and destroying most of Russian cities and its civilization as "patriotic" and "healthy" and one with which Putin needs to negotiate, to whom Putin needs to give reins of a new transitional government and for whom he needs to change Russia's Constitution? So here you have it.

Moscow: As far as we are now concerned, the FSA is "patriotic" and "healthy":

If the FSA is, according to Moscow, Syria's "patriotic opposition" what does this make the Syrian Arab Army in Moscow's mind? And what does this make the Kremlin and its policy to be?

Lavrov: "This calls for a representational, exclusive inter-Syrian dialogue between the government and a wide range of the patriotic opposition that could lead to the agreements reached on the basis of mutual consent." November 27, 2015 http://tass.ru/en/politics/840044

Lavrov: "We believe that the Free Syrian Army should be part of the political process like some other armed groups on the ground composed of Syrian patriotic opposition individuals." October 1, 2015 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-34416978

Lavrov: "We are ready to also support patriotic opposition, including the so-called Free Syrian Army, from the air." October 24, 2015 http://www.ndtv.com/…/russia-ready-to-provide-air-support-t…
Official press release of the Russian Foreign Ministry on the agreement between Lavrov and Kerry: "They also expressed support for UN efforts to resume the Geneva talks on a political settlement of the conflict between the Syrian Government and the patriotic opposition." March 2, 2016 http://www.mid.ru/…/asset_p…/cKNonkJE02Bw/content/id/2123567

"The delegation of Syria’s patriotic opposition that has been formed at the Hemimim base is expected to come to Geneva "any day," Russian Permanent Representative to the Office of the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva Alexey Borodavkin told reporters on Tuesday. The delegation of the [Syrian] internal patriotic opposition that has been formed at a conference held at Khmeimin is expected to arrive in Geneva any day," he said. March 15, 2016
http://tass.ru/en/world/862446

Lavrov confirmed and "welcomed" in plain, open text the "great bargain" with the US by plainly and openly welcoming the US proposal to trade Palmyra for Raqqa (and hence much of Syria). Lavrov's statement is indicative of the old-fashioned colonial divide--it would make (for now) Escobar's Cosmopolistan the zone of Russian influence and Sunnistan and Kurdistan, the sphere of US patronage and control:

According to Sergey Lavrov, as reported by Russia's state new agency, TASS, the US did propose to Russia to divide Syria into their own zones of influence and operations--Palmyra and the other part to Russia, the ISIS capital, Raqqa, and the rest to the US:

"US proposed that Russia liberate Palmyra and that the US take Raqqa
US asked Russia to focus on liberating Syrian Palmyra, while the coalition led by Washington would deal with Raqqa, said Russian Foreign Minister.
Palmyra - the pearl of Syrian Desert
"We are ready to coordinate our actions with the Americans, because Raqqa (the "capital of the banned in Russia terrorist group," Islamic State) is in the eastern part of Syria, and the American coalition is active mainly there," he said. "I will probably not reveal a secret if I say that at some point the Americans offered to us a 'division of labor': the Russian Aerospace forces should focus on Palmyra, and the American coalition with Russian support will focus on Raqqa. "

According to Lavrov, "this proves that [the Americans] have some kind of epiphany." "The United States understands that it is necessary not only to communicate with each other so that we don't shoot down each other, but that it is also necessary to really coordinate our actions to combat terrorism, otherwise it will not work", - said the Russian minister."
http://tass.ru/politika/2734331

Here, among others, Reuters reporting on the same: "Russia is ready to coordinate its actions with the U.S.-led coalition in Syria to push the Islamic State group out of Raqqa, Interfax news agency quoted Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov as saying.
"We are ready to coordinate our actions with the Americans, because Raqqa is in the eastern part of Syria, and the American coalition is mainly ... acting there," Interfax quoted Lavrov as saying in an interview with the Ren-TV television channel.

"Perhaps, this is no secret, if I say that at some stage the Americans suggested performing a 'division of labor': the Russian Air Forces should concentrate on the liberation of Palmyra, and the American coalition with Russian support will focus on the liberation of Raqqa," the minister added." http://www.reuters.com/…/us-mideast-crisis-syria-russia-raq…

This became distorted, for example, in Joe Lauria's article as if Lavrov, instead of welcoming this US proposal, made Lavrov to be the initiator of this divide of Syria and claimed that the US rejected what Lavrov presented as the US proposal. Lauria also claims that President Assad "has apparently also agreed," which, unless proven, I don't see as true:

""Curiously, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in the last days offered to divide the task of defeating Islamic State by inviting the U.S. to take Raqqa, an offer the U.S. refused. It is not at all clear why Russia would want the U.S. to control the Islamic State capital unless Moscow is pushing for a federalized Syria, which it has publicly supported. Assad has apparently also agreed."
https://consortiumnews.com/…/risks-in-putins-syria-withdra…/

Masha Zakharova, Lavrov's reponse to Psaki, demonstrates how far the systemic degradation of the loss the Soviet ethos of victory and greatness progressed. With people like Zakharova, Russia would not be even a match for France of 1940

Masha Zakharova helpfully explains to the US and the West the all powerful hook and most effective key to her and Putin's crew, "the greatest secret" about her:

"A mere mentioning of war makes our skin crawl, it gives us a sense of panic and we immediately think that the world is coming to an end. Once the West understands [understood] this about us, it will be able to understand everything about us." begins at 1:17

At 2:00 she is about to go into crying

Putin: My response to the Great Patriotic War of the Russians is clear: "Never again!" (see his speech in Milan, June 2015, shortly after the 70th anniversary of the Victory)

Zakharova: Stalin is worse than Hitler. Our new pro-capitalist way is doing these things by cuddling ("s laskoy"). (See her infamous FB posting from February 2016)

Putin: Indeed. Since 1991 our partnership with the West has been one ongoing wedding night. No matter what you do, the result is to be one and the same. Always. Americans have a four letter word for it. (Putin's "joke" uttered in Petersburg next to Merkel)

Masha Zakharova opines that Stalin, who defeated Hitler and who led the Soviet Union to Victory, was for Russia worse than Hitler and Nazism:

http://www.unian.net/politics/1287824-mid-rf-pogromschiki-dippredstavitelstv-mogli-dokazat-lyubov-k-ukraine-vo-vremya-mobilizatsii.html

Thesis of a Czech Poet on the Political, Economic and Civilizational Meaning of the 30-years Combined Rule by Gorbachev, Yeltsin and Putin

What is the fundamental political, economic, ideological and civilizational meaning of the era in Russia's history under Gorbachev, Yeltsin, and Putin, thus more than 30 years of their combined rule (last year Putin declared that Yeltsin's way is also his way--put)?

It took the Soviet Union under Stalin just over 10 years to prepare for the largest and greatest war in history of mankind--the life and death war, World War II or, as it is known in Russia, the Great Patriotic War. Just over 10 years, the Soviet Union needed and had to prepare for that war and for the Soviet Victory in that war.

This was, in my view, the greatest and most principal achievement of the Soviet Union. It saved and preserved Russia--hundreds of millions of people, and, at the same time, it also saved from planned extermination other nations too, include the Czechs, my own nation by birth.

It is, therefore, also this supreme achievement of the Soviet Union that may or should be used as a key, central criterion against which the achievements and the political, economic, ideological and civilizational meaning of the rule by Gorbachev, Yeltsin and Putin need to be measured first and foremost.

When in Milan in June of 2015, shortly after the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Victory in World War II, Putin made his attitude clear: "Never again!" He called the victorious Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union a "tragedy." But on record we have not just words and statements by Gorbachev, Yeltsin and Putin and their pronouncements on the meaning of the Soviet Union. We have also their deeds, policies, and their results the evidence of which is, of course, much more material and decisive.

When we then look over the whole span of these 30 years and mark the key patterns and trends, we have to conclude the following:

If the essence, main triumph and the greatest service to mankind by the Soviet Union was the victory in World War II and the defeat of Nazism, the rule of death over mankind, Russia under Gorbachev, Yeltsin, and Putin has used all these 30 years not for victory, but for preparing and implementing capitulation and doing all they could to make this politically, economically, ideologically, and civilizationally assured, guaranteed, and irreversible--as much as possible and by means of systemic political, economic, ideological and civilizational corruption, degradation, and self-destruction. Putin's surrender of 40 million Ukraine, the historical part of Russia, to the new fascists is a proof and case in point, and not small at all. The gangrene is in the Kremlin, and the Ukrainian army under its fascist command only 400 miles from the Kremlin.

In other words, the combined 30-year-plus rule by Gorbachev (the gravedigger/
Yeltsin and Putin pursued this one overriding, strategic objective--undoing, reversing, erasing, and destroying the Soviet Victory over fascism in World War II, its results, consequences, legancy, and meaning. I do believe that, for the Soviet and Russian people, this is the most unholy endeavor one can think of.

Against this background, hailers of Putin's supreme geniusness and fictitious masterfulness, which beset Russia with a horde, a new "Golden Horde," of absolutely amoral, immoral, nihilistic, and soulless oligarchs, are trying to present Putin, the hero, much like the victim in chief of the Empire, rather than its willing collaborator, partner, and a cog in its wheel and hook, while trying to "shame" and silence criticism of Putin's Highest Nothingness under which Russia has progressed--has "progressed" mightily toward her unconditional surrender, capitulation and demise. By means of systemic political, economic, ideological and civilizational debasement and corruption. Machiavelli might have approved. Russia's enemies applaud, and morons rejoice and worship.

"The defector who has been fleecing Russia, the oligarch-in-chief, and the traitor-in-chief is the victim" (c).
Russia with her potential, talents, wealth, and the former might should have easily produce enough wealth for average income to be $1000 a month, not $100-200 as it is now. The rest has been plundered and destroyed. People who praise Putin for this and other thing must "really love Russia and the Russians."

Does Putin still find it "funny," as he does in this video, that, when Chubais was changing/destroying the Russian economy, the basis of Putin's Russia, he was surrounded and led by cohorts of CIA advisers who were later investigated back in the US for doing only a very tiny bit of corruption and stealing in which Chubais and other Russian oligarchs were all above their heads?

According to Vladimir Solovyev, a well known explainer of VVP to the masses, the peculiarity of the current Russia is characterized by "historical reconciliation"--of traitors of Russia with their victims. This, "historical reconciliation," however, requires cursing Stalin and the Soviet past. Otherwise, "historical reconciliation" with the traitors would not work. Just as with magic spells, they work, but only under certain conditions. So does brainwashing of the masses.

Geopolitical Confabulation in the Ides of March

Geopolitical Confabulation in the Ides of March

Ads

by Miri Wood, RNc and Vladimir Suchan
On Monday evening, 14 March 2016, Russian President Vladimir Putin magnanimously gave a courtesy call to Syrian President, Dr. Bashar al Assad, to inform him that Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu had been ordered to begin the withdrawal of the “main part of our military group” from Syria, effective 15 March 2016 (15 March is the anniversary of the abdication of Czar Nicholas II, in 1917).
Though Russian media did not offer a complete sentence from President al Assad’s part of the conversation, they reputedly quoted individual, superlative words of gargantuan gratitude.
Russian media did, more extensively, quote their president:
I consider the objectives that have been set for the Defense Ministry to be generally accomplished. That is why I order to start withdrawal of the main part of our military group from the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic starting from tomorrow…in a short period of time Russia has created a small but very effective military group… the effective work of our military allowed the peace process to begin…Syrian government troops and patriotic forces have changed the situation in the fight with international terrorism and have ceased the initiative.*

Putin did not explain what is “the main part” of Russia’s “effective military group” that has done “effective work,” and that would be leaving.  Putin did not explain what “objectives” have been “achieved.” Putin did not explain what “peace process” has actually begun, considering that the [unilateral] ceasefire agreement has been breached more than 137 times since its inception, 27 February.  Putin did not explain his strange dichotomy of separating “Syrian government troops” from “patriotic forces,” as the Syrian Arab Army that has protected the Syrian people for more than five years, is Syria’s leading patriotic force.
Russian media have consistently ignored the immediate breaches in ceasefire, except when it has also separated a Syrian minority population from the rest of Syria, including other Syrian minorities, all of whom make up most of the population of the Syrian Arab Republic.
One exception to Russian media censorship on ceasefire breaches has been an 8 March limited hang-out (or perhaps a vicious nose-rubbing), ‘Truce hasn’t changed anything, terrorists attacks intensified’ — Aleppo residents to RT.
Fullscreen capture 382016 104714 PM.bmp
There are two types of people in Syria:  Syrians, and non-Syrians.  — a Syrian patriot
The second exception was 13 March, when RT reporter Lizzie Phelan claimed that she and her crew were the intended targets of two mortar bombs, in Daraa.  The RT report on the suspected targeted attacks on RT employees stated that it was “in rarely attacked area,” while simultaneously showing a demoralizing, completely bombed out street, in its lead photograph.  Phelan orwellianly called the terrorist bombers “opposition,” and RT shamelessly called the city “the cradle of the uprising in Syria,” declaring that Daraa is “divided” “between government forces and various opposition forces.”
Imagine the outrage, were a Syrian reporter to, under similar circumstances, describe Moscow as being divided between Russian forces, and opposition forces.  RT also declared that “No injuries have been reported following the incident,” despite the wounding of a Syrian citizen, and the massive material damages reported by SANA.

NB:  In April 2014, Tel el Jabya, Daraa governate, was the site of a massacre of Syrian Arab Army ground troops, from a genetically altered C. tetani bioweapon.
The oft-mention Syrian minority ‘target’ of the inciting Turkey, via Kremlin news media, has exclusively involved the Kurdish population.  Despite the statement of Saleh Musallem, leader of the Democratic Union Party (PYD), that there is to be no Kurdistan in northern Syria, Russia has made itself clear, in its unspoken call for inflicting a new Sykes-Picot on the Syrian people, including Lavrov’s rotten, unlicensed, command for the inclusion of the Kurds at the Geneva circus.

Putin’s mysterious “patriotic forces” are actually not “mysterious,” if one recalls, that on 12 February, Russia launched a re-branding campaign of the terrorist FSA, when Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev developed a self-inflicted amnesia, and called this original gang of sociopathic killers, “patriotic opposition.”
Though Putin did not explain who the “main part” of Russian military is (one person suggested that the “main part” is the Russian ground troops that do not officially exist in the SAR), soon to leave, he was emphatic that Russia’s two bases in Syria, would remain, and  “must be effectively secured from onshore, offshore and from the air.” **
One of the two bases is in the seaport of Tartous, a nice perk from the days of the Soviet Union.  This is Russia’s only naval facility in the Mediterranean, and is a repair and replenish material and technical support facility.  Early last year, the putinkjieh (a.k.a. “putinoids”) went into a collective swoon when a very large naval ship docked.  They were certain that Russia had finally come to “rescue” the Syria people, but became mute after it repaired and replenished and left.
The other is the air force base in Khmeimim, Latakia governate.  Here is where Russia’s S400 and one (or two) S300 sit, for photo ops, or in case Turkey decides to do a second round of double war crimes in attacking Russian jets in Syria’s sovereign territory.  Russia grounded its jets — originally invited in, by the Syrian government, to provide necessary air cover for Syrian ground troops — at the inception of the unilateral ceasefire, in order “to avoid any possible mistakes,” while coordinating a hotline with its US counterpart, in Amman, Jordan.
At the beginning of this unilateral ceasefire, Russian media was so delighted that 17 gangs of takfiri had stopped by to sign the agreements to cease terrorist activities, that this base has become a meeting venue for takfiri.
Putin is so pleased by this arrangement that this Russian base will remain open to observe ceasefire agreements (or, rather, ignore the continuing breaches).
The main goal, which Putin pursued before the beginning of the operation in Syria, was about [his] image … This goal has been achieved. — A. Khramchikin, Director, Center for Military and Political Analysis
While Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin’s press liaison, was telling reporters that Putin’s decision to withdrawal troops from Syria was completely independent, Lavrov was telling Putin the opposite:  Thanks to these decisions, including your latest agreement with President Obama, today, intra-Syrian talks between the government delegation and delegations of multiple opposition groups have finally been launched in Geneva.
Lavrov’s words, though, do not emit the post coital sounds of the Tass headline of 7 March:  Russia satisfied with cooperation with US on Syria.

I hope that today’s decision will be a good signal for all conflicting sides.  I hope that this will significantly lift the level of trust between all participants in the Syrian peace process and promote resolving the Syrian issue via peaceful means. — Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.  Really.
Scant hours after the announcement by the Russian deity, Radio Spitnik ran a neo-colonialist interview with a neo-colonialist journalist, coquettishly asking if the neo-colonialist “peace talks” are meant to break up a war-ravaged Syria into three mini-states.

The writing has been on the wall since the beginning of the Syrian crisis.
Spitnik doubles-down on Russia’s abhorrent and impotent attempt to humiliate the unbreakable, intrepid, Syrian peopleheadlining that they have no say in the fetid conspiracy to carve up their country.  After 16 days of a deadly ceasefire, in which casualties and injuries were neglected, except for the Kurdish minority, who could be surprised to know that the only mini-state named in this post-apocalypse map would be Kurdistan?
Syria has no minorities; Syria has only Syrians.
In the early 2006, then Senator Joe Biden called for the carving up of the devastated Iraq, into three chunks, based on ethnic groupings.  In November 2015, US right-wing media called for resurrecting Biden’s plan, and imposing onto the Syrian people.
How terrible is it, that Syria’s ally wishes to do to it, what Syria’s enemies have wanted to do to it?
The Syrian people love their president, Dr. Bashar al Assad.  They will keep him, as he has kept them, during these five years of horror.
No neo-colonialist power will remove him from their embrace.
The world now needs reminding that Syria is civilization before being a state.  Its extraordinary history is 10,000 years old. Syria was the hub of the ancient Silk Road.  There is no part of humanity that has not been touched by its graceful hands.
The civilization, Syria has withstood thousands of years of savage occupation forces, from the ancient Romans, throughout the more recent French [Mandate] occupiers, and throughout this long history, this civilization, Syria, has remained sanctuary for the homeless of humanity.
Whether being under occupation, or beginning its toddler stage, as a young republic, Syria has absorbed Circassians,Armenians, Palestinians, Kuwaitis, Iraqis….
Never once, did Syria offer a tent to humanity’s homeless.
Any, and all, who disgustingly, casually, discuss the butchering of Syria’s homeland, are both shameless, and soulless.
They are no moral superiors to the terrorists who have engaged in the butchering of Syrian individuals, during these five years.

Syria’s original geography

Syria, today.
It is this civilization, Syria, that has produced the lone statesman of the UN, the precious jewel among the savage degenerates of faux diplomacy.  Currently in Geneva, wading through the sewage of these degenerates, and the drool of their unleashed, rabid dogs, Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Bashar al Ja’afari, has been the sole voice of diplomacy, in a kafkaesque world gone completely deaf.
In mid-2013, His Excellency Ja’afari launched a series of successful Town Hall Meetings throughout the United States.  His goal was to educate the US population, including Syrian-Americans, about truth, about the horrors inflicted upon his country, by international neo-colonialist forces, about the courage of the Syrian people, about the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army, about the intrepid, collective soul of the Syrian people.
His cross-country educational gatherings were so popularly successful, that the demo[n]cracy-belching State Department decided to demo[n]cratically censor him, by restricting his movements to 25mi/40km from the UN.
In this, his first Town Hall Meeting, in Orlando, Florida, the good Ambassador reminds the world that Syria is not a secretion of Sykes-Picot.  Damascus is the oldest capital in the world.  Syria has no minorities, only Syrians.  Syria is a beautiful mosaic.
Syria is a miracle.

* The nurse – author has become increasingly concerned over the possibility that this Russian head of state suffers not insignificant neurocognitive deficits, as his language not infrequently hints at confabulation in his primitive language skills.  To often, he repeats.  Too often, he sounds as though he is lost in total darkness, struggling to maintain a sense of physical balance.  At other times, he sounds like a newly-speaking child, trying to “catch” the correct words, and put them where they belong.
**This odd description oddly brings to mind the Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze song from a 1934 movie:
