Lavrov: ISIS is not targeting Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan or Libya, but 2 holy Muslim shrines in Saudi Arabia, generally this is well understood ...

Lavrov made today yet another epochal revelation; after Putin met with the Saudi crown prince and minister of defense (minister for the war on Syria) and Saudi Arabia promised $10 billion, Lavrov is now trying to advance the new cause of Russia forming "ant-ISIS" alliance with Saudi Arabia, not that principally different from its Minsk partnership set to "restore sovereignty" of new Banderite Ukraine over Russian Donbass; similar sophism, rhetoric and logic (or the lack thereof) is being used.

Lavrov on the need to form an "anti-ISIS alliance" with Saudi Arabia because ISIS is, he claims, not targeting Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, but the two holiest sites in Saudi Arabia:

"You see, we have not proposed to create some kind of coalition; we have analyzed the situation and said to our partners - the IS [Lavrov calls ISIS "IS," I call it ISIS] exists and it has been declared the number one enemy of all countries in the region. Everyone understands very well ["beautifully" would be literal] that the target of ISIS is not Syria or Iraq, where they have already captured the vast territory and declared a "caliphate", or Afghanistan, where they have appeared in just the past weeks and months, not Libya, where the emissaries of the ISIS have been seen and where they are trying to set up their territories as a "caliphate." The aim of ISIS are the two Muslim shrines, and, practically [how? again?], they are hiding this. The mutual hostility and problems [between the countries of the region] thus need to be set aside. It is a struggle for survival of the Arab States. The priorities are clear. So when you ask, is it realistic that Saudi Arabia, Turkey and other countries that are presently not in good relations [mark the sophistic euphemism] with the regime of Bashar al-Assad, will be able to join forces in the struggle in this coalition [which he said in thebeginning he is not proposing]? I think that for the starters, we should not talk about whether this is realistic, but but we need to say that it absolutely necessary. As you know, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, we received the Defense Minister of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. We had a conversation with him about how terrible threat of terrorism in the Middle East and North Africa is. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan talked about this too, when they met in Baku during the opening event of the European games.
We have no hidden agendas."
